I work across the whole stack — React and TypeScript on top, Spring Boot and AWS underneath — and build the AI tooling that gets it shipped faster.

Four years, 10+ production features, 100k+ monthly users — currently at JPMorgan Chase. I designed the UI and built the API and graph layer for Cobol Studio, a patent-pending tool that maps decades-old mainframe code into a graph database and uses AI to explain it in plain language, now used by 500+ employees.

The AI agent skills I've written are now part of how my team ships — scaffolding a repo end to end (platform, pipeline, and test setup), reviewing PRs against our own engineering standards, and generating Jest and Playwright suites that cover accessibility, not just the happy path.

Experience

2022 - now
  1. JPMorgan Chase

    2024 - now

Software engineer II · consumer credit

Ship the credit line increase/exchange, and balance transfer features — the decisioning behind them clears $1.3B+ annually at 99.9% uptime. Rewrote the web front end from legacy JavaScript into React and TypeScript for faster page loads on a smaller bundle, and migrated the services behind it off on-prem data centers onto AWS.

  2. Donovan

    2023 - 2024

    Founding engineer · edtech nonprofit

Led 9 engineers taking the learning platform behind a music and art program for underserved kids from first commit to production — animation-heavy Next.js with Motion, a Bun/ElysiaJS backend, Drizzle over Neon Postgres — and kept it running on Azure at a cost an early-stage budget could carry.

  3. SUNY Research Foundation

    2022 - 2023

    Research engineer · assistive tech

Built the Al training tool behind an augmentative communication study for people with ALS, cerebral palsy, and autism — Whisper, Google TTS, a fine-tuned DialoGPT chatbot — plus the NLP pipeline scoring its replies against a human-rated set, 45% more accurate after tuning.

cobol studio

Python
